This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions

My supplies here. The zip includes tubes and font
Open tubes in psp
Tubes have HIDDEN layers which mean you must unhide to see them
Minimize them all
Double click to open the font "Christmas" and minimize it on your desktop
Set your foreground color to White (#FFFFFF)
Set your background color to #55805a
~ Step 1 ~
File, New
Width 900 and Height 800 with transparent background
Fill this layer with white
Copy nathy_frayedglitterframe_green.png and paste as new layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 2, Horizontal: 2, Opacity: 50, Blur: 5, Color: #000000
~ Step 2 ~
Copy nathy_grungyframe_lightbrown.png and paste as new layer
Move the frame on top of the other so it looks nice
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 1, Horizontal: 1, Opacity: 80, Blur: 5, Color: #000000
Copy chrismist_CG_Christmas_HS160_84.pspimage and paste as new layer
Layers, Arrange, Move Down
Move the candle down into the bottom left corner of the frame
~ Step 3 ~
Copy Tubed_by_monique42_3472.psp and paste as new layer
Image, Mirror
Move Santa to the right a little
Activate your Magic Wand and use these settings:
Mode: Add, Match mode: RBG Value, Tolerance: 0, Contiguous Checked,
Feather: 0, Anti-alias Checked, Outside
Activate the grungy frame layer (should be the top layer)
Click inside the frame
Selections, Modify, Expand 10
Selections, Invert
Activate the Santa's layer and hit delete once on your keyboard
Activate the candle's layer and hit delete once on your keyboard
Activate the white layer and hit delete once on your keyboard
Selections, Select None
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 4 ~
Copy nathy_icyglow_ornament_9.png and paste as new layer
Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings:
Hue: 91, Saturation: 50
Image, Resize and use these settings:
65 Percent, Resample using Smart Size, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked
Move the tree into the top left corner
Copy nathy_staples.png and paste as new layer
Move the staples into the left side so its holding the tree
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 5 ~
Layers, New Raster Layer
Fill with white
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Copy SE_ChristmasSheetMusic_SilentNight.png and paste as new layer
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings:
Direction: Left, Degrees: 10, all other options Unchecked
Move the music sheet on the left side
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 2, Horizontal: 2, Opacity: 50, Blur: 5, Color: #000000
Paste SE_ChristmasSheetMusic_SilentNight.png as new layer once again
Move the music sheet into the bottom right corner
Repeat the same Drop Shadow as before
~ Step 6 ~
Copy SE_ChristmasSheetMusic_WeWishYouAMerryChristmas.png and paste as new layer
Direction: Right, Degrees: 10, all other options Unchecked
Move the music sheet on the right side
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 2, Horizontal: 2, Opacity: 50, Blur: 5, Color: #000000
Paste SE_ChristmasSheetMusic_WeWishYouAMerryChristmas.png as new layer once again
Move the music sheet into the bottom left corner
Repeat the same Drop Shadow as before
Hide the frame layer and the white bg layer
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 7 ~
Make sure the music sheets layer is activated
Layers, New Raster Layer
Activate your Magic Wand and use these settings:
Mode: Add, Match mode: RBG Value, Tolerance: 0, Contiguous Checked,
Sample merged Checked, Feather: 0, Anti-alias Checked, Outside
*** If you are using PSP X or PSP XI, it will be "Use all layers" instead of "Sample merged" ***
Select outside the music sheets
Selections, Invert
Selections, Modify, Expand: 10
Effects, Plugins, VanDerLee, Snowflakes and use these settings:
Amount: 25, Minimum size: 5, Maximum size: 10, Hardness: 55, Transparency: 0
Snow color: Basic - White, Random seed: 961
Click OK
~ Step 8 ~
Effects, Plugins, VanDerLee, Snowflakes and use the same settings as before but
change Snow color to Christmas - Ribbon red and Random seed to 1572
Click OK
Effects, Plugins, VanDerLee, Snowflakes and use the same settings as before but
change Snow color to Christmas - Natural green and Random seed to 3396
Click OK
Selections, Select None
Change the Opacity of this layer to 56
Unhide the frame layer and the white bg layer
~ Step 9 ~
Copy tube417_monique.pspimage and paste as new layer
Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top
Move the kids tube at the bottom of the frame (look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical: 2, Horizontal: 2, Opacity: 50, Blur: 5, Color: #000000
~ Step 10 ~
Copy nathy_whitesnow.png and paste as new layer
Move this layer under the kids layer
Move the snow down so we can see about half of it below the kids
Activate the top layer
~ Step 11 ~
Activate the Text tool and use the following settings:
Set your Foreground color to Null
Set your Background color to #55805a
Type your name
Position your name into the bottom right corner (look at my image for placement)
Layers, Convert to Raster Layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the same settings as before
~ Step 12 ~
Hide the background layer and crop your image
Unhide the background layer
Layers, Merge All (Flatten)
Add your watermark, resize if you'd like and save your work as jpg
