This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions
~ You will need ~
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
Richard Rosenman (Grid Generator), you can download here
FM Tile Tools (Blend Emboss), you can download here
Flaming Pear Flood, you can download here
My supplies here. The zip includes tubes, image and alpha
Open the tubes and image in psp and minimize them all
Set your Foreground color to #B0CDDF
Set your Background color to #3F7292
~ Step 1 ~
File, New
Width set to 650 and Height set to 500, White background
Layers, New Raster Layer
Fill with your light color
Effects, Plugins, Richard Rosenman, Grid Generator and use the following settings:
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add noise and use the following settings:
Reduce the opacity of this layer to 50
~ Step 2 ~
Layers, New Raster Layer
Selections, Select All
Copy beauty-of-winter1024.jpg and paste into selection
Selections, Select None
Reduce the opacity of this layer to 20
Effects, Plugins, FM Tile Tools, Blend Emboss and use the following settings:
Repeat Blend Emboss with the same settings
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 3 ~
Copy WB_Ice.psp and paste as new layer
Move the tube down and to the right (look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings:
~ Step 4 ~
Copy MLR_blue_belt.pspimage and paste as new layer
Layers, Arrange, Move Down
Move the belt down and to the right so it fits nicely behind the lady
(look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the same settings as before
~ Step 5 ~
Hide the lady tube layer (should be top layer)
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Effects, Plugins, Flaming Pear, Flood and use the following settings:
Unhide the lady tube layer and activate it
Repeat Flood using the same settings as before
~ Step 6 ~
Copy bluemoon.pspimage and paste as new layer
Layers, Arrange, Move Down
Move the moon at the top behind the lady's face
~ Step 7 ~
Copy stardivider.pspimage and paste as new layer
Layers Arrange, Bring to Top
Move the divider at the bottom
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the same setting as before
~ Step 8 ~
Maximize abc.pspimage
Using your selection tool set to rectangle
Copy and paste the letters for your name into the working area
Once all done apply the same drop shadow as before to each letter
~ Step 9 ~
Image, Add Border, 10 pixels in your dark color
Select with the magic wand
Effects, 3D Effects, Innver Bevel and use the following settings:
~ Step 10 ~
Selections, Invert
Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout and use the following settings:
Selections, Select None
Save your work as jpg
