This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions
~ You will need ~
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
My supplies here. The zip includes tubes, brush, patterns and font
Put the brush in your brush folder
(If the brush is not working i included it in psp file format)
Open tubes and patterns in psp and minimize them all
Double click to open the font "Forte" and minimize it on your desktop
Set your Foreground color to #C00303
Set your Background color to white (#FFFFFF)
~ Step 1 ~
File, New
Set Width to 600, the Height to 450 and check Transparent
Set your foreground to pattern and find Passion_bg1_DL.jpg
Set Angle 0 and Scale 100
Fill layer with the pattern
~ Step 2 ~
Layers, New Raster Layer
Set your foreground to pattern and find Passion_bg5_DL.jpg
Set Angle 0 and Scale 100
Fill layer with the pattern
Change the opacity of this layer to 70
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 3 ~
Change the opacity of this layer to 70
Layers, New Raster Layer
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Fill this layer with white
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 4 ~
Maximize PassionRibbon_03_DL.pspimage
Copy ribbon 1 and paste it as new layer
Move it down (look at my image for placement)
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use the following settings:
Move it in position (look at my image for placement)
Copy ribbon 2 and paste it as new layer
Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use same settings as before
Move it in position in top of the vertical red ribbon (look at my image for placement)
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
~ Step 5 ~
Apply the following Drop Shadow to both ribbons
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings:
Repeat Drop Shadow but change Vertical and Horizontal to -2
Layers, Merge, Merge Down (to merge your 2 ribbons)
~ Step 6 ~
Activate your Magic Wand and select the top left section of the ribbons
Selections, Modify, Expand 15
Layers, New Raster Layer
Set your foreground to pattern and find Passion_bg8_DL.jpg
Set Angle 0 and Scale 100
Fill the selection with the pattern
Selections, Select None
Move this layer down between the ribbons and the background
~ Step 7 ~
Activate the ribbons layer again (should be top layer)
Seclect the bottom right corner with your magic wand
Selections, Modify, Expand 15
Layers, New Raster Layer
Fill the selection with the red color (#C00303)
Selections, Select None
Move this layer down between the ribbons and the background
~ Step 8 ~
Copy MichelleTrachtenbergByAriels-TubedByTYA.psp and paste it as new layer
Resize the tube to 70%
Move it up in the top left corner between the ribbons (look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings:
Make sure the tube layer is under the ribbon but on top of all the backgrounds
(This layer should be the 2nd one from the top)
~ Step 9 ~
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror
Resize it by 50%
Move it down in the bottom right corner
Change the blend mode to Screen
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 10 ~
Activate your Brush Tool, find sr_flowers_010 and use the following settings:
Layers, New Raster Layer
Apply the brush once with your red color in the top right corner
(Or copy and paste the brush provided in psp format)
Effects, 3D Effects, Inner Bevel and use the following settings:
~ Step 11 ~
Using your Selection Tool select the part of the stem that goes over the ribbon
Hit delete once on your keyboard
Selections, Select None
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 12 ~
Maximize passionelement.pspimage
Copy element 1 and paste it as new layer
Position it where the 2 ribbons meet (look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings:
Repeat Drop Shadow but change Vertical and Horizontal to -2
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 13 ~
Copy element 2 from passionelement.pspimage and paste it as new layer
Move it down and to the left (look at my image for placement)
Same Drop Shadow as step 12 but do not repeat the -2
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror
Position it in the top right corner
~ Step 14 ~
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Flip
Move it down in the bottom right corner
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror
Move it to the left in the bottom corner
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
~ Step 15 ~
Set your foreground to beads.jpg
Set your background to passionred.jpg
Activate your text tool and use the following settings:
Type your name
Layers, Convert to Raster Layer
Apply same Drop Shadow as in step 13
~ Step 16 ~
Image, Canvas size
Change Width to 612 and Height to 462
Placement will be center (6 all around)
Copy frame.pspimage and paste as new layer
Apply same Drop Shadow as in step 13
Repeat Drop Shadow but change Vertical and Horizontal to -2
Layers, Merge, Merge All (Flatten)
Save your work as jpg
