This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions

~ You will need ~
The picture I used is ŠLeslie Newcomer. You can find her awesome artwork at Fantasy Cat Art
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
Simple (Centre Tile, 4 Way Average), you can download here
My supplies here. The zip includes the image, mask and texture

Put your mask in your mask folder
Put the texture in your texture folder
Open your picture in psp
Layers, Promote Background Layer
Duplicate your image and minimize one for later use

Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask From Disk. Find ct_m29 (1) and use these settings:



Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:



Repeat Drop Shadow but change horizontal and vertical to -2

Image, Canvas Size
Change the width to 1024 and the height will be the total height of your graphic
For the placement use these settings:



Layers, New Raster Layer
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Selections, Select All
Maximize the image we duplicated earlier and copy it
Go back to our main image
Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to 10
Selections, Select None

Effects, Plugins, Simple, Centre Tile
Effects, Plugins, Simple, 4 Way Average
Effects, Texture Effects, Texture
Find winni.texture.132 and use these settings:



Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use these settings:



Layers, Properties and change the Opacity for 60%
Layers, Merge, Merge All (Flatten)
