This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions

~ You will need ~
The picture I used is by Bez Boardman. You can find her awesome artwork at Bez Boardman's Gallery
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
FM Tile Tools (Seamless Tile), you can download here
Brush Strokes (Sprayed Strokes), you can download here
My supplies here. The zip includes the image and texture

Put the texture in your texture folder
Open your picture in psp
{ If you are not using the picture provided then make sure yours is 288 by 350 }
Duplicate and minimize one copy for later use

Effects, Plugins, FM Tile Tools, Seamless Tile and use the following settings:



Pick 2 colors from your image
I used blue (#5f778b) as foreground and red (#932621) as background
Set your foreground to gradient and use the following settings:



Image, Canvas Size
Change the Width to 298 (the Height stays the same at 350)
Placement: Right 10
Active your Magic Wand and select the transparent part
Layers, New Raster Layer
Fill the selection with the gradient
Selections, Select None
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings:
Make sure Shadow on new layer IS checked!



Activate Raster Deform Tool
Move your mouse until the white double-headed arrow appears
Once you see it left click on your mouse, hold and drag it past the top of the image
This will extend the drop shadow out past the image getting rid of any seams
Do the same thing on the bottom

Hide Raster 1 by clicking on the eye so there's a red X
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Image, Canvas Size
Change the Width to 323 (the Height stays the same at 350)
Placement: Right 25
Active your Magic Wand and select the transparent part
Fill the selection with the blue color

Effects, Texture Effects, Texture
Find TexturesSage_173 and use the following settings:



Selections, Invert
Layers, New Raster Layer

Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings:



Activate Raster Deform Tool
Move your mouse until the white double-headed arrow appears
Once you see it left click on your mouse, hold and drag it past the top of the image
This will extend the drop shadow out past the image getting rid of any seams
Do the same thing on the bottom
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible (Raster 1 should be hidden still)

Image, Canvas Size
Change the Width to 358 (the Height stays the same at 350)
Placement: Left 35
Layers, Duplicate
Image, Mirror
Unhide Raster 1
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible

Image, Canvas Size
Change the Width to 1024 (the Height stays the same at 350)
Placement: Left 15 and Right 651
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use the following settings:
Make sure Shadow on new layer IS checked!



Activate Raster Deform Tool
Move your mouse until the white double-headed arrow appears
Once you see it left click on your mouse, hold and drag it past the top of the image
This will extend the drop shadow out past the image getting rid of any seams
Do the same thing on the bottom
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible

Layers, New Raster Layer
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Selections, Select All
Maximize the duplicate picture we minimized earlier and copy it
Back to our main image
Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection
Selections, Select None

Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to 10
Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use the following settings:



Effects, Plugins, Brush Strokes, Sprayed Strokes and use the following settings:



Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use the same settings as before
Layers, Properties and change the Opacity for 36%
Layers, New Raster Layer
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Fill layer with blue color
Layers, Merge, Merge All (Flatten)

Add your watermark and your tag is finished. I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial.
