Any resemblance to other online tutorials is purely coincidence ŠN@thy 2007 This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions ~ You will need ~ The picture I used is by Bez Boardman. You can find her awesome artwork at Bez Boardman's Gallery Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here Andrew's Filters 8 (Random City Negative), you can download here Artistic (Rough Pastels), you can download here L en K landksiteofwonder (L en K's Raisa), you can download here Mura's Seamless Filters C (Emboss at Alpha), you can download here My supplies here. The zip includes the image and mask Put the mask in your mask folder Open your image in psp and minimize it for later use { If you are not using the picture provided then make sure yours is 625 by 343 } Set your foreground to black (#000000) Set your background color with a dark color from your picture Write down the Hue and Saturation of this color as you will need it to colorize later on ![]() { Working area } File, New Set Width to 1024, the Height to 450 and check Transparent Fill the layer with black ***you have to use black or this is not going to work*** Effects, Illumination Effects, Sunburst and use these settings: ![]() Effects, Plugins, Andrew's Filters 8, Random City Negative and use these settings: ![]() Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: ![]() Effects, Plugins, L en K landksiteofwonder, L en K's Raisa and use these settings: Activate your Selection Tool and use these settings: Click on Custom Selection (shown by the red arrow) And use these settings: Top: 0, Left: 0, Right: 512, Bottom: 450 Edit, Clear Selections, Select None Layers, Duplicate Image, Mirror Layers, Merge, Merge Visible Activate your Selection Tool Click on Custom Selection and use these settings: Top: 0, Left: 50, Right: 974, Bottom: 350 Image, Crop to Selection Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: (or use the Hue and Saturation numbers from your dark color) ![]() { Mask } File, New Set Width to 736, the Height to 315 and check Transparent Fill the layer with your dark color Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask From Disk Find kc-050 mask and use these settings: ![]() Layers, Merge, Merge Group Edit, Copy Go back to our working area and paste as new layer Effects, Plugins, Mura's Seamless, Emboss at Alpha and use these settings: ![]() Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: ![]() Repeat Drop Shadow but change Vertical and Horizontal to -3 Select the big middle square with your magic wand Selections, Modify, Contract 1 Layers, New Raster Layer Maximize the image we minimized earlier and copy it Go back to our main image Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection Selections, Select None Layers, Merge, Merge Visible Image, Canvas Size Change the height to 900 and make sure the width doesnt change (924) Placement bottom: 550 Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Make sure Shadow on new layer IS checked! ![]() Activate Raster Deform Tool Move your mouse until the white double-headed arrow appears (like in the screen shot) ![]() Once you see it left click on your mouse, hold and drag it past the right side of the image (like in the screen shot) ![]() This will extend the drop shadow out past the strip getting rid of any seams Do the same thing on the left side Layers, Merge, Merge Visible Layers, New Raster Layer Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom Minimize for now { Background } Maximize our duplicate image Activate your Selection Tool Click on Custom Selection and use these settings: Top: 0, Left: 0, Right: 392, Bottom: 343 Image, Crop to Selection Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use these settings: ![]() Effects, Plugins, Artistic, Rough Pastels and use these settings: ![]() Image, Flip Effects, Plugins, Artistic, Rough Pastels and use the same settings as before Image, Resize and set the Width to 300 pixels Set your foreground as pattern and fine the background We just made and use these settings: Angle: 0, Scale: 100 Minimize this background and back to our working area Fill the bottom layer with the pattern Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use the same settings as before Layers, New Raster Layer Fill this layer with your dark color Layers, Properties and change the opacity to 30 Layers, New Raster Layer Fill this layer with white Layers, Properties and change the opacity to 30 Layers, Merge, Merge All (Flatten) Add your watermark and your tag is finished.
