Any resemblance to other online tutorials is purely coincidence ŠN@thy 2007 This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions ~ You will need ~ The picture I used is by Antje Darling. You can find her awesome artwork at Antje's Graphics.com Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here Harry's Power Grad (Frame Gradient), you can download here VM Instant Art (Three Cuts), you can download here VM Extravaganza (Color Fusion), you can download here Fun House (Streak Mirror), you can download here My supplies here. The zip includes the image Open your picture in psp { If you are not using the picture provided then make sure yours is 300 by 375 } Duplicate and minimize one copy for later use Set your foreground color to #2b4a5f If your not using same image as mine set your background color with a dark color from your image, you will need to get the Hue and Saturation of this color to colorize later on ![]() Image, Add border, 10 pixels in white color Select the border with your magic wand Effects, Plugins, Harry's Power Grad, Frame Gradient and use these settings: ![]() Adjust, Colorize and use these settings: (or use Hue and Saturation you wrote down in step 1) ![]() Effects, 3D Effects, Drop shadow and use these settings: ![]() Repeat Drop Shadow but change vertical and horizontal for -3 Selections, Select None Image, Add border, 30 pixels in white color Select the border with your magic wand Effects, Plugins, VM Instant Art, Three Cuts and use these settings: ![]() Colorize using same settings as before Selections, Select None Image, Add border, 10 pixels in white color Select the border with your magic wand Effects, Plugins, Harry's Power Grad, Frame Gradient and use these settings: ![]() Colorize using same settings as before Effects, 3D Effects, Drop shadow and use these settings: ![]() Repeat Drop Shadow but change vertical and horizontal for -3 Selections, Select None Image, Add border, 45 pixels with foreground color (dark blue) Select the border with your magic wand Effects, Plugins, VM Extravaganza, Color Fusion and use these settings: ![]() Colorize using same settings as before Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Clarify and use these settings: Strength of effect: 5 Repeat Clarify one more time Selections, Select None Image, Resize Set the Width to 390 (the Height will change by itself), Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio should be checked as well as Resize all layers Image, Add border, 10 pixels in white color Select the border with your magic wand Selections, Promote Selection to Layer Effects, Plugins, Harry's Power Grad, Frame Gradient and use the same settings as before Colorize using same settings as before Selections, Select None Activate Selection Tool and use these settings: Click on Custom Selection (shown by the red arrow) And use these settings: Top: 10, Left: 10, Right: 410, Bottom: Height of your image minus 10 Image, Crop to Selection Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: ![]() Activate Raster Deform Tool Move your mouse until the white double-headed arrow appears Once you see it left click on your mouse, hold and drag it past the top of the image This will extend the border out past the strip getting rid of any seams Do the same thing on the bottom Layers, Merge, Merge Visible Image, Canvas Size Change the width to 1024 and make sure the height doesnt change Placement will be: Right 624 Layers, New Raster Layer Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom Selections, Select All Maximize the image we duplicated earlier and copy it Go back to our main image Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection Selections, Select None Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur and set the Radius to 25 Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use these settings: ![]() Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise using these settings: ![]() Effects, Plugins, Fun House, Streak Mirror and use these settings: Layers, Duplicate Image, Mirror Layers, Properties and change the Opacity to 50 Layers, Duplicate Image, Flip Turn the frame layer off by clicking on the eye like in the screenshot: ![]() Layers, Merge, Merge Visible Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling and use the same settings as before Repeat Effects, Image Effects, Seamless Tiling but use these settings: ![]() Layers, Properties and change the Opacity to 80 Now highlight the frame layer and unhide it by clicking on the red X Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: Make sure Shadow on new layer IS checked! ![]() Activate Raster Deform Tool Move your mouse until the white double-headed arrow appears Once you see it left click on your mouse, hold and drag it past the top of the image This will extend the border out past the strip getting rid of any seams Do the same thing on the bottom Layers, Merge, Merge All (Flatten) Add your watermark and your tag is finished.
