This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions
~ You will need ~
Paint Shop Pro, a 30 day trial can be downloaded here
Xero (Porcelain), you can download here (Filter set 1)
Transparency (Eliminate White), you can download here (Windows95 version)
My supplies here. The zip includes the image, tubes, mask and font
Put NathyMask60.jpg into your Masks Folder
Double click to open the font "Passions Conflict ROB" and minimize it on your desktop
Open everything else in PSP and minimize them all
Set your Foreground color to #A5A4B4
Set your Background color to #515160
Maximize Illuminated.jpg
Layers, Promote Background Layer
Adjust, Color Balance, Negative Image
Duplicate this image and minimize for later use
Layers, New Raster Layer
Fill this layer with your foreground color
Change the Blend Mode to Multiply
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Layers, Duplicate
Effects, Art Media Effects, Brush Strokes and use these settings:
Effects, Plugins, Xero, Porcelain
Click on reset then click OK
Repeat Porcelain with same settings
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Activate Top layer
Change the Opacity of this layer to 30
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Layers, Duplicate
Effects, Artistic Effects, Topography and use these settings:
Width:20, Density: 8, Angle: 45, Color: White
Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom
Activate Top layer
Change the Opacity of this layer to 78
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Copy the duplicate image we minimized earlier (you can close it we wont need it anymore)
Paste as new layer into our working area
Effects, Plugins, Transparency, Eliminate White
Change the Opacity of this layer to 52
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Adjust, Add/Remove Noise, Add Noise and use these settings:
Gaussian Checked, Monochrome Checked, Noise: 15%
Layers, Load/Save Mask, Load Mask From Disk
Find NathyMask60 and use these settings:
Source luminance Checked, Fit to layer Checked, Invert transparency Checked, Hide all mask Checked
Layers, Merge, Merge Group
Copy and minimize for later use
Set your Foreground color to white
File, New
Set Width to 500px and Height to 500px, Transparent background
Fill this layer with White
Paste as new layer
Set your Foreground color to #A5A4B4
Maximize nathy_squaretemplate.pspimage
Fill 'bg' layer with your background color
Activate 'squares' layer
In your Layers palette, lock transparency
Select Flood Fill Tool with these settings:
Match Mode: None, Sample merged Unchecked, Blend Mode: Normal, Opacity: 100
Fill the squares with your foreground color
Lock transparency
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Copy (you can close it we wont need it anymore)
Paste as new layer into your working area
Move this background down and to the left (look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 and Color Black
Copy the flower image we minimized earlier and paste as new layer into your working area
Resize 90 % (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Repeat this step 6 more times (the reason to keep resizing at 90 % is to keep a better definition)
Move this picture down and to the left (look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 and Color Black
Copy SN_SilverRubyCorners.pspimage and paste as new layer
Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings:
Hue: 173, Saturation: 25
Resize 90 % (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Repeat this step 3 more times
Move the corner into the dark background top right corner (look at my image for placement)
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical 2 and Horizontal -2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 and Color Black
Copy c_greenxmasbow.pspimage and paste as new layer
Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings:
Hue: 173, Saturation: 25
Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Gamma Correction and use these settings:
Link Checked, Red Green and Blue set to 2.20
Resize 75 % (Bicubic, Resize all layers Unchecked)
Image, Mirror
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 and Color Black
Position the bow into the top left corner
Copy Charm-Rachey-EnchantedByDarkness-06.pspimage and paste as new layer
Move the charm into the top right corner
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 and Color Black
Copy EHI_Spirit_Emb1_Round-SmFlower.pspimage and paste as new layer
Move the button into the top right corner, on top of the charm
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 0, Opacity 100, Blur 5 and Color Black
Foreground color set to #A5A4B4
Background color set to #515160
Click on the Text Tool and use these settings:
Type your name
Position it at the bottom of the tag (look at my image for placement)
In the layer palette right click on your text layer and convert to a raster layer
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 1, Opacity 50, Blur 1 and Color Black
Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings:
Vertical and Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5 and Color Black
Crop your image
Layers, Merge, Merge All (Flatten)
