Any resemblance to other online tutorials is purely coincidence ŠN@thy 2007 This tutorial was written using PSP 9, but can be done in other versions ~ You will need ~ The heart tag I used is by Dozi. You can download it here (5th set from the top) The frame I used is by Lor. You can visit her blog here The ScrapKit I used is by Melissa. The zips include the scrapkit, tubes and font Open the tubes in psp Tubes have HIDDEN layers which mean you must unhide to see them Minimize them all Double click to open the font "Gargoyle SSI" and minimize it on your desktop Set your foreground color to #F8E5BE Set your background color to #6C6A4D ~ Step 1 ~ Maximize SRD-VintageMatte.pspimage This will be our working area for now Layers, New Raster Layer Layers, Arrange, Send to Bottom Fill this layer with your foregound color ~ Step 2 ~ Maximize Moments15_BrookeKroegerDesigns.psp Copy the tube and paste as new layer into your working area Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top Image, Resize and use these settings: 95 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Position the tube a little bit to the right and down so the top of the head is into the frame ~ Step 3 ~ Click on the frame layer to activate it Activate your Magic Wand and use these settings: Mode: Add, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance: 20, Continuous Checked, Feathers: 0, Anti-alias Checked, Outside selected Click inside the frame to select it Layers, New Raster Layer Layers, Arrange, Bring to Top Effects, 3D Effects, Cutout and use these settings: Offset Vertical and Horizontal: 3, Opacity: 30, Blur: 10, Color: Black, Fill interior with color Unchecked Layers, New Raster Layer Repeat the Cutout but change Vertical and Horizontal to -3 Do NOT deselect!!! ~ Step 4 ~ Click on the tube layer to activate it Activate your Freehand Selection Tool and use these settings: Selection type: Point to point, Mode: Add, Feather: 0, Smoothing: 0, Anti-alias Checked Carefully select the leaves and sheet that goes out of the frame to add them to the selection ![]() Selections, Invert Hit delete once on your keyboard Selections, Select None ~ Step 5 ~ Click on the first cutout layer to activate it Activate your Freehand Selection Tool and use the same settings as before Select the cutout part on top of the sheet corner ![]() Hit delete once on your keyboard Click on the second cutout layer to active it Hit delete once on your keyboard Layers, Merge, Merge Visible Minimize this frame as we will need it later ~ Step 6 ~ File, New Set Width and Height to 500, Transparent background Maximize SE_ScrapKit_Recreation.pspimage Copy SE_Recreation_Paper_1 layer and paste as new layer into your working area Back to the scrapkit Copy SE_Recreation_Paper_3 layer and paste as new layer into your working area Image, Resize and use these settings: 80 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked ~ Step 7 ~ Effects, Plugins, Alien Skin Splat Demo, Edge and use these settings: ![]() Move the background up into the top left corner Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: ![]() ~ Step 8 ~ Maximize SE_ScrapKit_Recreation.pspimage Copy SE_Recreation_Paper_4 layer and paste as new layer into your working area Image, Resize and use these settings: 80 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: Hue: 30, Saturation: 112 Effects, Plugins, Alien Skin Splat Demo, Edge and use the same settings as before Repeat Drop Shadow from Step 7 Move this background down and to the right ~ Step 9 ~ Copy the frame we made earlier Paste it into your working area Image, Resize and use these settings: 72 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Layers, Duplicate Click on the bottom frame layer Image, Rotate, Free Rotate and use these settings: Direction: Right, Degrees: 10, everything else Unchecked Move this frame to the right Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and use these settings: ![]() ~ Step 10 ~ Maximize SE_ScrapKit_Recreation.pspimage Copy SE_Recreation_Ribbon_1 layer and paste as new layer into your working area Image, Resize and use these settings: 75 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Move the ribbon down so we see a little part of it at the bottom of the top frame Hide the top layer frame Activate your Magic Wand and use the same settings as in Step 3 Select the middle part of the ribbon from left to right (do not select the border) Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: Hue: 30, Saturation: 112 Selections, Select None Repeat Drop Shadow from Step 9 Unhide the top frame layer ~ Step 11 ~ Click on the top frame layer to activate it Move the frame slightly to the right Repeat Drop Shadow from Step 9 Activate your Freehand Selection Tool and use the same settings as in Step 4 Carefully select the frame bottom left corner overlaping the ribbon ![]() Hit delete once on your keyboard Selections, Select None ~ Step 12 ~ Copy coffeeacc09.pspimage and paste as new layer into your working area Image, Resize and use these settings: 40 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: Hue: 39, Saturation: 43 Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen Repeat Drop Shadow from Step 9 Position the flower into the bottom right corner ~ Step 13 ~ Maximize ScrapElements10_BrookeKroegerDesigns.pspimage Copy Raster 6 and paste as new layer into your working area Image, Resize and use these settings: 90 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Adjust, Hue and Saturation, Colorize and use these settings: Hue: 30, Saturation: 112 Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Gamma Correction and use these settings: Link Checked, Red Green Blue 0.42 Layers, Duplicate Image, Mirror Position this bow so the knots are on top of each others Layers, Merge, Merge Down Repeat Drop Shadow from Step 9 ~ Step 14 ~ Maximize a-dozi's-linenheart-tag.psp Crop the heart Image, Resize and use these settings: 90 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Checked Repeat 15 more times until the width of the heart is about 91 pixels I know this may seem excessive but if we resize using a lowest number the quality of the heart graphic wont be as good Edit, Copy Merged and paste as new layer into your working area Position the heart so the string touches the bow's knot ![]() Repeat Drop Shadow from Step 9 ~ Step 15 ~ Activate the Text tool and use the following settings: Set your Foreground color to NULL Set your Background color to #6C6A4D Type your name Position your name inside the heart tag Layers, Convert to Raster Layer Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow and these settings: ![]() ~ Step 16 ~ Copy fabbows__29_.psp and paste as new layer into your working area Image, Resize and use these settings: 55 Percent, Resample using Bicubic, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers Unchecked Position this bow on top of the others Repeat Drop Shadow from Step 9 ~ Step 17 ~ Copy yesterday.pspimage and paste as new layer into your working area Move it down at the bottom of the frame Change the Blend Mode of this layer to Soft Light Layers, Duplicate Change the Opacity of this layer to 54 ~ Step 18 ~ Copy nathyoverlay.pspimage and paste as new layer into your working area Layers, New Raster Layer Selections, Select All Selections, Modify, Contract 2 Selections, Invert Fill the selection with your background color Selections, Select None Layers, Merge All (Flatten) Add your watermark, resize if you'd like and save your work as jpg Your tag is finished.
